Public Safety Services
Contracted Law enforcement is provided by the San Bernardino County Sheriff, and the San Bernardino County Fire Protection District provides fire protection, EMS, and emergency preparedness. The town funds these vital operations through Measure Y, General Fund revenue, and county partnerships to keep residents safe every day.
Infrastructure
- The Yucca Valley Aquatic Recreation Center continues construction with completion expected later this year.
- The addition of 16 pickleball courts, updated basketball courts, and additional public parking.
- The completion of Founders Plaza provides pedestrian walkability and public gathering space, including a weekly Farmers Market.
- Managed by the Hi Desert Water District, the Town wide septic to sewer transition continues to move towards completion.
- Roadway Improvements continue including widening and other safety improvements
- New Fire Station 41 has completed all the planning and funding requirements with construction to start this year.
Quality of Life
- The newly completed Yucca Valley Yucca Senior Center $3 million modernization, reopened in April 2026 under its new name, the Desert Willow Center for Seniors.
- Weekly enrichment classes, toddler programs, sports like pickleball, and seasonal events including the Summer Concert Series and Yucca Valley Film Festival.
- Beautification projects, utility box art, and local installations supported through the Parks, Recreation and Cultural Commission.
- Measure Y partnership funding provides roughly $200,000 every two years in grants to non-profit organizations.
